The SCIENCE
The chemical components of kava are kavalactones and flavokavains, with each
class of compound possessing unique properties aside from some overlaps in the reported biological effects.
Most biological studies of kava have focused on the six major kavalactones with the critical factor contributing to the quality of kava coming from the relative concentrations of those six compounds.
By targeting unique strains of kava plants and making adjustments at critical points of our process, we have achieved a delicate balance of those compounds in KAVALAC 80, which is also high in kawain and low in methysticin.
It is essential to understand that not all kava products come close to what they claim they are, mainly because they’re made from cheap and/or adulterated extracts.
